Thank you for considering a donation to ImmigrationWatch.com -- a community-based website
devoted to providing real-time immigration processing status, comprehensive statistics
and interactive platform, completely free-of-charge, to the immigration community. In order to
support this service offering, we work hard to coordinate all efforts from data contributors,
technical staff and information consultants and maintain a sophisticated collaborative network
for data hosting, mining, analyzing and publishing. With more and more pending cases joining
the network and more and more users visiting the site, scalability inevitably becomes a critical
issue in light of the tremendous amount of data updates and provisioning involved. Keeping the
steam up to continue to provide the immigration community reliable and up-to-date statistics
requires an upgrade of hardware infrastructure. Your contribution will facilitate this approach
in a positive way and help us to better serve the fast-growing immigration community.
If you like what we are doing for the immigration community or if you believe that we can do more
than what we doing now, please give us a hand and contribute to the site.
Thank you for your support to keep this site alive and the services expanding.
| Q. |
Why should I make a donation to ImmigrationWatch.com? |
| A. |
Do you find the statistics compiled and published on ImmigrationWatch.com helpful in walking you through the long immigration journey in any sense of:
- making an informed decision before taking any (further) actions;
- keeping a vigilant eye on where you exactly stand in the long waiting line;
- getting a sense of safety by recognizing you are not alone in the darkness;
- encouraging and comforting each other with those who are sailing with you in the same boat;
- getting well prepared to celebrate your happing ending when it is just around the corner.
If the answer is yes, you might want to help us to keep this site alive and have more and more immigrants benefit from our services. United we can make the long waiting less frustrating, less blindfolded, and less unpredictable.
As always with statistics, the presentation of results appears in a quite simple way but it comes in a very hard way by going through all of the phases: raw data collecting, validity cross-verifying, and analytical model identifying. With millions of records hosted in our database (more and more pending cases keeping join) and trillions of their processing history updates, it is a tremendous challenge for us to operate and maintain the site in a real-time manner. Despite of the dedication of our team and all community members, there is a real world cost from hardware infrastructure (database and repository servers, load-balancing and fail-over servers, application servers, dedicated web servers) and third-party services (bandwidth, software licensing, add-on software developing, technical assistance, professional consulting).
Also, we keep adding new features or functionalities to make the site more content rich and interface user-friendly. If you like what we are doing for the immigration community and want us keep the steam up, you can make a donation and help us out.
